Clover grew intertwined
as lace.
A twosome lay on their blanket
enjoying a polo velveteen embrace.
It was sweet as a Tupelo venue
Until a shrill piccolo vexed their ears.
They gathered their things and ran,
Until the high-pitched sound cleared.
She sat down with her gigolo
vegan,
And noshed on their tangelo
venom.
Soon he had her halo veins pulsing,
While lounging on his blanket of denim.

ReplyDeleteOoh, this is quite a fun verse. I love the peculiar vocabulary and phrasing, viz. "polo velveteen embrace", "gigolo vegan", "tangelo venom", et al. Such a wonderful response to the prompt.
