Hopeless Romantic

In the lovely garden – she was there.

His goddess veiled by floral leaf.

Materialized by his mournful stare.

Any bystanders could feel his grief.

Her cast stone skin – an ivory white.

Her statue drape of burgundy lace.

She is the same shape and height.

He couldn’t help but see her face.

While he sat on a hard-stone seat…

He had a beautiful love story to tell.

An old French vagrant… to most, he’d meet.

Eager to reminisce about his mademoiselle.

I heard he’d passed – he’s no longer there.

It is indisputable… I’m sure his spirit soared.

The hopeless romantic who sat in the square.

Gone to a heavenly garden – met by the one he adored.

A Fairy Christmas

A chilly breeze, the mistletoe sways. A brush of wings… Fairies may have passed your way. A glitter dusting, a playfu...
